Dr. Alan K. Sokoloff

Founder of the Yalich Clinic of Glen Burnie

Dr. Alan K. Sokoloff or “Dr. Sok”, as his patients refer to him, is the founder / owner / clinic director of the Yalich Clinic Performance and Rehabilitation in Glen Burnie, MD, where he has practiced for over 36 years. He served 2 terms as President of the Maryland Chiropractic Association. Dr. Sok was selected as Maryland’s “Chiropractor of the Year 2001-2” and the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physician’s Sports Chiropractor of the Year 2006. He holds a post-graduate degree as a Diplomat of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. Dr. Sok has been a member of the University of Maryland Sports Medicine Team since 1991. He served a residency at the United States Olympic Training Center, summer of 1997 and was selected to the medical team for the United States at the 1998 Goodwill Games. Dr. Sok was appointed to the USA Olympic Medical Team for the 1999 Pan Am Games in Winnipeg, Canada. He continues to be the team chiropractor for the two time Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens of the NFL since 1999 as well as the University of Maryland Terps.

Dr. Sokoloff was also the past team chiropractor for the Washington Nationals (MLB) and is currently with the Baltimore Orioles AA team in Bowie, MD, The Bowie Baysox. For over 10 years, Dr. Sok hosted a weekly health, interactive health radio program in Baltimore called “Talkin’ Back” on AM-680 WCBM.

Dr. Sok incorporates many different hands on techniques in treating his patients. In addition to chiropractic care, he is certified in Graston Techniquedry needling and various myofascial release techniques.

Dr. Sok truly enjoys teaching, both live and on video. He is a recipient of the “Award of Excellence” for his DVD series including “Back Talk” (Preventing Back Injuries in the Work Place) and “Hands On” (Preventing Carpal Tunnel in the Work Place). Produced and distributed through the Library Video Network, these videos deal with different aspects of preventing injuries at work and home. One of Dr. Sok’s passions is in the area of injury and concussion prevention. After 20+ years of teaching it, Dr. Sok released his latest video, “Tackling Concussion Head On”, with multiple guests from professional and college athletics that will educate parents and coaches alike.

Dr. Sok continues to be actively involved in youth coaches and parent education, serving as a member of the education coordination team for Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks division as well as the co-founder of POWERPlay In Sports (a national group helping to education kids, parents and coaches in many aspects of injury prevention. Dr. Nicole Gangl Perez

Dr. Nicole Gangl Perez is a Graduate of the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology.  She received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University, in Bloomington, MN.   Dr. Gangl Perez has additional postgraduate training in pregnancy and pediatric care and with additional focus on sports related injuries and prevention.  With over 18 years of experience practicing in Minnesota and Maryland, she utilizes many soft tissue, rehabilitative techniques,  Kinesiotaping and now dry needling.  With additional certification received in rehabilitation and Rock Tape kinesiotaping techniques.  As part of her clinical work at the Yalich Clinic of Glen Burnie, Dr. Gangl Perez is part of the sports medicine team for the University of Maryland Terps, Baltimore Orioles and Bowie Baysox.

Dr. Greg Nash

BS in Exercise Science Kinesiology, Doctorate of Chiropractic

Dr Nash comes to us from a private practice in Virginia, serving that community for more than 4 years with the Gainesville Holistic Health Center. While there he specialized in Neurology and Athletic injury cases while working with an integrative team of nutritionists and chiropractors.

Dr. Nash has been a competitive gymnast for the past 24 years as well as a gymnastics coach for 12 years. He combines his personal experience with functional strength with his passion for optimizing performance to maximize benefits for his patients. His coaching experience made him an avid educator and he believes everyone should understand what is happening with their body as it undergoes the healing process.

Dr. Sean Molloy

The Yalich Clinic team continues to grow with the addition of Dr. Sean Molloy. He graduated magna cum laude from University of Bridgeport, College of Chiropractic while simultaneously completing his Masters of Science in Nutrition. He went on to open his private practice in Connecticut and obtain his CSCS (certified strength and conditioning specialist). As his practice expanded, he began coaching CrossFit and providing personal training services. Dr. Molloy understands the importance of returning to play as quickly and safely as possible and works with patients to achieve whatever their goals may be.

Dr. Molloy also has advanced training as a Microgate Certified Specialist and brings this unique technology with him to the team. In practice, he has used this equipment to evaluate imbalances in individuals ranging from stroke victims to professional athletes in order to create the most effective treatment and training plans possible.

Dr. Kristie Carpenter

Dr. Kristie Carpenter graduated Cum Laude with her bachelor’s degree in biology from James Madison University. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Carpenter has a wide array of experience treating orthopedic and neurological patients throughout all stages of the rehabilitative process.

Dr. Carpenter believes in a patient-centered approach and addressing functional movement patterns to restore ability. She enjoys working with runners as well as post-partum women to reach their strength and fitness goals. Dr. Carpenter also has a passion for helping people with
Parkinson’s improve their abilities and holds certifications in PWR! (Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery) and LSVT BIG.
