What to Expect
Your First Visit to the Yalich Clinic
The first step of your first office visit is filling out the standard paperwork. To dramatically reduce the time spent at our office filling out this paperwork, you can fill out paperwork prior to your arrival. Then, our staff can begin processing your information before you arrive. Once you complete the paper work be sure to click SUBMIT.
After the paperwork has been processed by our staff, you will meet with one of the doctors for an initial consultation. There is no charge for this initial consultation. The consultation is an opportunity for the doctors to listen to your health concerns and take a medical history of your condition. By sharing this information, you and the doctor can determine if a treatment program at the Yalich Clinic is the right choice for your health needs.
Prior to your appointment, our staff will attempt to verify any health care benefits that you may have. If you are a candidate for chiropractic care at the Yalich Clinic, one of staff members will review any health benefits or insurance (if applicable) with you. These staff members are highly trained and can answer many questions you might have about your specific coverage.
After insurance benefit or costs are explained, a doctor will perform a thorough physical examination to determine the true cause of the patient’s problem. Based on the initial consultation and physical exam, diagnostic imaging may be indicated. If you already have previous X-rays, MRI’s, or other diagnostic studies, please bring them with you along with any reports/records to the first office visit.
Because the Yalich Clinic is a multi-doctor practice, each new patient is typically seen by two doctors on their initial visit. It’s our philosophy that “two heads are better than one”, especially when it comes to your health. After the examination the doctors can confirm their findings, and work together to form a quality individualized treatment plan to meet the patient’s goals.
It is very important to us that the healing process start as soon as possible. In most cases based on the initial information gathered, treatment will begin on the first visit.
The doctors of Yalich Clinic believe that rehabilitative exercise is essential for proper healing. Rarely is a care plan for a patient prescribed by our doctors that does not have a detailed phased exercise program to teach the patient to “help themselves”. Typically we start this process of teaching patients to help themselves on the first visit with simple at home exercises to help reduce pain and teach proper posture and ergonomics.
